Frequently Asked Questions

Greater Kansas City Day, or KC Day, is a collaboration among The Kansas City Star, the Kansas City Royals and many area Rotary Clubs.  Every Royals home opener, for over 25 years, thousands of volunteers have taken to the streets to sell special edition copies of The Kansas City Star for a donation.  These donations have helped many local children’s charities including Rotary Club 13’s own Rotary Youth Camp located in Lee’s Summit, MO.

The Rotary Youth Camp is a 26-acre campground, located at Lake Jacomo, in Lee's Summit, Missouri, that provides a camping experience for disabled and disadvantaged children.  The camp is entirely wheelchair accessible including a zero-entry swimming pool.  The camp is underwritten by donations from events such as Greater Kansas City Day.

Operating a camp this size would not be possible without support from volunteers like you.  You can help by creating a donor page and sharing it with family and friends in your social networks.  Every dollar you raise will go to help thousands of children through local charities.

Create a donor page by first registering and then clicking on the Create Donor Page link.  Enter your name and your Rotary Club number.  If you are not affiliated with a Rotary Club then simply leave the Rotary Club box as number 13.  If you do not see your Rotary Club listed then simply click Add Rotary Club and fill in your club’s information.  Then, upload an image of yourself that your family and friends will recognize.

After you have created a donor page, you can click on the email icon and enter separate email addresses to email your donor page.  You can also click on any of the social media icons such as Facebook and Twitter and share your donor page with those in your social networks.
